World of Warcraft Battleground Bots - How to identify bots & how they affect stealth classes
Created this video to outline the current state of World of Warcraft Battlegrounds. Bots have bypassed the Warden system in place by WoW and are running rampant. It seems that people don't seem to understand just how complex bots have become so in this video I give some key identifiers to help you know the difference between a bot and a real player. I also outline how some of the bots that auto-follow teammates can severely affect the gameplay of stealth classes. I hope this video convinces the community to understand just how bad the problem is right now & urges the developers at Blizzard to take this issue seriously. Personally I don't enjoy investing time in developing characters while being passed in levels by botting software. On top of that, half of my battlegrounds don't feel like an MMO experience anymore. They are more like a mix of humans versus bots. If I want PvE in Warcraft there are far more challenging experiences available compared to these repetitious, predictable BG bots. I play the Battlegrounds for PvP and this is not what the current state of World of Warcraft is offering in Battlegrounds. Follow the thread on the official forums: forums.worldofwarcraft.com

Great video. Nice job of highlighting the most common bots' behavior. It's sad because anyone who's played enough games can spot most bots before the gates even open.

After 23 pages of discussion from a concerned community Blizzard decided to lock the post on the official forums without any comment which confirms to me that they do not care about the problem and they wish to hide it from the general population instead of addressing the issue and telling us that they know about it and wish to do something about it.

I had some dude in our battlegroup, afk because he says he works all the time and wants an 80 druid. so he "Mouse recorded" and said its not a bot and so its not bannable.

It's funny in some ways.
I always said to myself,it feels like I'm playing with a team full of npc's, and allot of the time,I actually am. Reported allot of these guys myself, and had some fun with the autofollow kind by trying to lure em off cliffs.
I dispise this.

Excellent video, I was astonished at just how complex, and how many of these bots there were. It's crazy that bots made up a third of that horde team in the wsg you were in.

seen ALOT of those pathing bots in bgs. they always walk near the bgs in WSG waiting for someone to come and kill them, just like the nelf u showed in wsg.

I haven't been PvPing lately, so I haven't really seen the problem with bots very much first-hand, but I thought this was an excellent video and Blizzard (and other gaming companies) really REALLY need to step up their game with this problem. The report AFK feature is clearly not doing its job at *all* if bots are able to avoid it so easily.

I love those bots, they make us lose every fucking time. I love how three guys spawn, move straight to the alliance grave yard and get killed there without doing anything. Sometimes it feels like half of the players in the game are actually bots.

glad someone finally did this..ive been trying to get blizzard and other game makers to realize how advanced cheats are getting but its extremely hard to get anyone to listen to you at ALL.
you try to explain and they just dont get it..either that or theyre the ones using the bots and they lie to cover for others doing it so they dont get caught themselves...treating you like a liar in the process.
you need to make movies for "quake live" and show the cheats in that game too..its horrible

As a rogue you can see whos a bot, if you stun them, they can still turn to you... that sucks..

Those crappy bots that just heal themselves are easy to kick out if people would just do the right click afk report but I seem to be the only one willing to take the half a second to do it. Sometimes I'll be playing defense and I'll get the warning and healing myself doesn't get me out of it I have to find a player and hit them to get it off.

I used to run glider... it was 10x the bot that these guys have. Players would program a response for virtually any situation. And just like Dr2shadz said it was undetectable. You had a huge amount of Pro-glider people helping develop ways to remain below the radar and yet it still got caught.
Seems like the bots are at an all time high right now and Blizz isn't doing anything. I guess so long as they got rid of the best bot, they don't need to do anything else = /

Just caught one of those bots in my strand, started following my druid, I dragged him to the water where he drown repeatedly, team didn't even care that he was afk, let him farm honor the whole game. Blizzard needs to either fix the report afk system, or disable the bots and actually start chain banning these fuckers

This is why I stopped playing WoW. PVP is infested with bots, and Arena is not my idea of fun. Call me a battleground hero, I dont care, but I like PVP with large numbers and a lot of group involvement. Right now I just play TF2 to get my "pvp" fix.
